4th to 8th grade – introduces 3 more aspects to the program: Innovation Project, Robot Game and Robot Design. Each year we build a robot to overcome specific challenges set for the year’s Robot Game. We are challenged to design and build a robot and program it to complete numerous missions using the Word Block code or Python. Advisors and mentors from the community help students through the process of designing, fabricating and assembling a robot to best compete in the year’s challenge. They also help students as they work on their innovation project. The innovation project is something that is new technology or improves upon current technology based on the theme for the year. All levels of the program learn Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition (FLL word meaning Cooperation in Competition) through our Core Values: Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun.

Sponsor
the Future
Our teams are constantly looking for help, not only financially, but for volunteers with a background in education, engineering, and any other STEM field that wish to advise and mentor our thriving teams. We are also looking for volunteers who want to invest in the lives of students to give them more opportunities to thrive right now and in the future. The students of the HLCC Robotics are confident that with combined financial and volunteer support from dedicated sponsors, the team will fulfill the required registration, material, equipment and travel costs throughout the season.
Sponsorship is an investment in the future of each student and we truly appreciate it. For more information, please contact us:
